NO ONE DESERVES TO BE ALONE

No one, and I mean no one should be alone in this life. Some people think being alone is what is good for them. The Bible disputes that. Two are always better than one. As we look at this, I do not mean living alone in a house, but I mean always being alone and never getting out to build relationships. People need relationships. People need companionship. If the church is done the BIBLICAL way, people will have a right place to build these relationships and companionship. As we continue the series on Bring Them Back, we are going to look at being alone. Some intentionally separate from others. Even these people need to be brought home.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10   Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.10  For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

  • We need others to help in time of need.
  • We all have time on need.
  • We will all fall from time to time.

I Thessalonians 5: 8-11  But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.9  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,10  Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.11   Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do

  • We are to find comfort in relationships.
  • We are to build up one another.
  • We are to work together to glorify Christ.

Ephesians 4:29-32 – Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.30  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.31  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:32  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

  • We are to be forgiving regardless of the offense.
  • We are to speak words of encouragement, not words of condemnation.
  • To live a life of unforgiveness is to grieve the Holy Spirit.
  • We are to minister grace to others.

Galatians 6:1-2 –  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.2  Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

  • We are to help carry the burden of others.
  • We are to restore, not kill the wounded.
  • We are to display a spirit of meekness (kindness) to others.Failure to follow God’s plan will set you up for a hard fall

Romans 14:1  Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

  • Not everyone is strong.
  • We must reach out to those whose faith has been shattered.
  • We have to learn to help without judging.

What Do I Owe God?

Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 – 4  When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.5  Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

Romans 1:14  I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

My worship –

Psalms 138:2  I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

My praise-

Psalms 56:4  In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

Psalms 118:6  The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

Romans 8:38-39 – 38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

My conduct –

Colossians 3:8-15 – But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.9  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. 12   Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13  Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14  And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

My attitudes –

Philippians 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

My presence –

Psalms 5:7   But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

Hebrews 10:24-25 – 24  And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

My witness –

Romans 1:14  I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

Romans 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

1 Corinthians 1:23  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

The key to successful Christian living –

2 Timothy 1:12  For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Heaven, My Home Sweet Home

John 14:1-6 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There is still plenty of room

He will not throw out anyone who comes.

John 6:37-40 –  All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.38  For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.39  And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.40  And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

The invitation is still open.

Isaiah 55:1-3 –  Ho, every one that    thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.2  Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.3  Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

You and I get to be the inviters
Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Psalm 126:5-6 –  They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6  He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

2 Timothy1:12  For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Romans 12:1-3 – Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.3  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

II Corinthians 5: 11  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

My new home is built by the Hand of God Himself –

TWO NEW HOMES WE HAVE:

New Body

II Corinthians 5:1   For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (read thru 11)

New dwelling place

John 14: 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you

Still to come – plenty of room, Jesus will be there, It is not built by man but all built by God, all the redeemed will be there, but it takes the proper paperwork to enter in.

    Heaven,What A Wonderful Place

    Revelation 22:1-5

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.2  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.3  And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:4  And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.5  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Wow, who would not want to go here?  One thing I love about the Bahamas is the crystal-clear water.  What is crystal clear here to us is probably dirty water compared to the clear water we will see once we get home.  Any yes, I do mean home.  You see child on God, we are just on a journey through this land in which we live.  We are on a journey home.  A home I am longing to see.  The older we get. Those of you who are older know what I mean, the older we get the more we look forward to it.  Let us look at some of the benefits of heaven we may not always think about.

Heaven is a safe place to for all my valuables

Matthew 6:19-21 – Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:20  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:21  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

    • Spouse
    • Children
    • Family
    • Friends and neighbors
    • Those we meet in the living of our everyday life.

A place where my name is on record as having a title deed.

Luke 10:19-20 – Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.20  Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

    • Not like here on earth where you may have a mortgage or pay rent.
    • Here someone can come in and steal what I have.
    • Here all I have can be lost in a moment’s time.
    • Here I have to prove who I am.
    • There I have a clear title marked pain in full by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords – Hallelujah, amen and amen. When I am done saying amen, then amen again.
    • No one can ever take that home away from me. It is mine for all time and eternity
    • It is still under construction but I have already been given the key.

John 14:1-6 – Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me 2. For in my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.4  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.5  Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is the Key and the only Key.  – Do you truly have the key?

Still time to come: Still plenty of room. Jesus will be there, It is not built by man, but all built by God, All the redeemed will be there, It takes the proper paper work to enter in

Praying in the will of God – Harmony with Him

Matthew 26:39  And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:15  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

WE MUST PRAY IN HARMONY WITH GOD’S WILL

    GOD’S WILL AND OUR PRAYERS…

Prayers are answered favorably if we ask “according to His will” – 1John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

Big reason for unanswered prayer is our own selfishness

James 4:3 – Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

      HIS WILL BE DONE…

Jesus taught us to pray –

Matthew 6:9-13 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11  Give us this day our daily bread. 12  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

He prayed in the garden at Gethsemane –

Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Such praying is made easier when our will is to do God’s will

John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

[With faith in God and humility toward Him, we will gladly yield to His will for us. Note also…]

        WE MUST PRAY WITH THANKSGIVING

        PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING…

“giving thanks always for all things to God” –

        Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Trust Him completely with an attitude of thankfulness  –

Philippians 4:6 – Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

being vigilant in prayer with thanksgiving” –

        Colossians 4:2  Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Always stay in an attitude of prayer and thanksgiving. –

1 Thessalonians  5:17-1817  Pray without ceasing. 18  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

        HAVE THE ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE…

God’s people should always to be thankful –

        Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.;

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Ingratitude an indication of apostasy –

          Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.;

2 Timothy 3:2-5  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away
